Poor boy’s accident tonight

I heard crying about 10.20, and went upstairs to find he hadn’t quite made it to the bathroom. He was soaked, in a puddle outside the bathroom, howling. As i sorted him out, he was very matter-of-factly miserable that he had had an accident.
But it’s my fault. He didn’t have a bath tonight, so tired, and so his routine didn’t include bathroom time. I asked him, and he said he didn’t need to go – i should have realised he’d last gone to the loo about 5pm. I feel horrid that he’s had to endure the embarrassment and the failure – he was trying so hard to get there – all down to me.

She is eating so well!

Claire started Immy on solids a couple of weeks ago. After a week of pushing everything straight out, she’s now got the hang of it. I mean, it still goes everywhere, but it is going down (we know it’s coming out elsewhere).
Broccoli is a big hit, but spinach has gone down well too. Parsnip is the biggest hit, just like Leo.
She gets excited when she sees a bowl, and if you’re too slow feeding she starts shouting at the bowl (or just generally to the room).
It’s so sweet, she is so into it. And lovely to be able to give her new foods, to mix foods, without worrying about looking for allergies as we had to with Leo.
